Chestnut Praline Syrup Recipe
A cozy, nutty syrup made with toasted nuts, brown sugar, and a touch of spice. It blends smoothly into espresso or cold brew and adds that warm, praline depth you want in a winter latte. Simple to make, easy to use, and perfect for holiday coffee.
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Add water, brown sugar, and nuts to a small saucepan.
Heat over medium and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and strain out the nuts.
Stir in vanilla, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
Let cool, then store in a jar in the fridge for up to two weeks.
- Toast the nuts first for a deeper, richer flavor.
- Add a splash of maple syrup if you want a darker sweetness.
- Simmer longer for a thicker, more caramel-like syrup.
- Use raw sugar for a stronger, almost smoky depth.
