Holiday Spice Flat White Recipe
A warm, balanced Holiday Spice Flat White made with real espresso, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and silky steamed milk. The spices melt into the coffee to create a cozy, winter-ready drink that’s smooth, comforting, and perfect for cold mornings without feeling heavy or overly sweet.
- 2 Shots espresso or 3–4 oz very strong brewed coffee
- 1 Cup milk (whole or oat)
- 1 Tsp brown sugar or maple syrup
- ¼ Tsp ground cinnamon
- ⅛ Tsp ground nutmeg
- A small pinch of clove
- A small pinch of ginger
- Optional: splash of vanilla extract
Brew your espresso or strong coffee.
Add brown sugar and all spices to your mug.
Pour the espresso over the spices and stir until everything melts together.
Warm your milk until just steaming, then froth lightly until it reaches a smooth, velvety texture.
Pour the milk slowly over the spiced espresso, letting the microfoam settle naturally.
Add a tiny dusting of cinnamon if you want the café look.
Notes
-
Add a touch of vanilla for a softer, sweeter finish.
-
Use oat milk for a naturally buttery, cookie-like flavor.
-
Double the ginger and cinnamon if you want a sharper, spicier profile.
-
For an iced version, shake the milk with spices before pouring over espresso and ice.
