Holiday Spice Flat White Recipe

A warm, balanced Holiday Spice Flat White made with real espresso, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and silky steamed milk. The spices melt into the coffee to create a cozy, winter-ready drink that’s smooth, comforting, and perfect for cold mornings without feeling heavy or overly sweet.

Ingredients

  • 2 Shots espresso or 3–4 oz very strong brewed coffee
  • 1 Cup milk (whole or oat)
  • 1 Tsp brown sugar or maple syrup
  • ¼ Tsp ground cinnamon
  • Tsp ground nutmeg
  • A small pinch of clove
  • A small pinch of ginger
  • Optional: splash of vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Brew your espresso or strong coffee.
  • Add brown sugar and all spices to your mug.
  • Pour the espresso over the spices and stir until everything melts together.
  • Warm your milk until just steaming, then froth lightly until it reaches a smooth, velvety texture.
  • Pour the milk slowly over the spiced espresso, letting the microfoam settle naturally.
  • Add a tiny dusting of cinnamon if you want the café look.

Notes

Notes
  • Add a touch of vanilla for a softer, sweeter finish.
  • Use oat milk for a naturally buttery, cookie-like flavor.
  • Double the ginger and cinnamon if you want a sharper, spicier profile.
  • For an iced version, shake the milk with spices before pouring over espresso and ice.
